A Guide To Checking Your BALLS

A Guide To Checking Your BALLS - BALLS
the only tool for your jewels

Every guy knows that checking his balls is recommended but not everyone knows how to check them or what they should be looking for.

Your bollocks deserve to be looked after properly, and that doesn’t just mean keeping them smooth and sexy with a BALLS trimmer and SackSafe technology, but also checking them regularly, just in case.

It might not be the kind of thing you talk about over a pint at the pub with your best mates, but checking your manly bits takes minimal time and effort, and every bloke should do it from time to time.

Testicular cancer typically occurs in guys between 15 and 44 years old, but if detected early, it is 99% curable. There are other conditions that can affect the goolies too.

Let’s take a gander at exactly how to check them and what you should be looking for.

1. Take a Shower or Bath

It’s easiest to check your balls if you’re in the shower or you just took a warm bath because you’re already naked and your balls will be warm rather than wrinkled and harder to inspect. And make sure you won’t be disturbed either!

2. Inspect One at a Time

You don’t have to rush, so take your time when checking the little fellas and make sure you inspect every part.

3. Get to Know Your Bollocks

The more you inspect your balls for any changes or abnormalities, the more familiar you will become with them.

Although every ballsack is different, you should know what’s normal for your body and be able to recognise if anything’s changed. It’s perfectly normal for one ball to be a bit smaller and for one to hang lower than the other, just in case you’re wondering!

4. Hold then Roll

Slowly roll your balls, one at a time, between your thumb and finger. Check for swellings, lumps, or changes in texture, shape or size.

5. Cup Them

Feel the weight of your ballsack by cupping it then cup one ball at a time to make sure they’re nearly identical in weight and size.

How Should Healthy Balls Feel?

They should be firm but not hard, free from bumps and lumps, and smooth. A gentle inspection shouldn’t be painful either.

Should You See a Doctor?

If you do happen to find anything unusual like one ball noticeably bigger than the other, a swelling, lump, or change in texture, make an appointment with your doctor so you can get it checked out and put your mind at rest.

The same applies if you have any discomfort or pain in or around the groin. Don’t put it off because it’s better to be safe than sorry and your doctor will have seen it all before.

If you find something it’s tempting to freak yourself out by Googling your symptoms. Most lumps are harmless though and could just be down to swollen veins or a cyst (fluid buildup), which are treatable.

It’s still a good idea to see a medical professional if you notice something though, since it’s better to get it out of the way rather than putting it off and worrying about it.

How Often Should You Check Them?

Some doctors say an annual checkup is enough, while others recommend checking them yourself every month. We’re in the latter camp. It only takes a minute or two to do and if you do find anything you can get it looked at promptly by a doctor.

One good idea to remind yourself to do this is to set a recurring alarm on your phone. They’re your balls though so it’s up to you how frequently you give them a once-over!
